Continuing Medical Education: A Primer An
Alliance-sponsored textbook on the elements of CME and how to be a successful
CME manager. The second edition was published in 1992.
The Journal of Continuing Education in the Health Professions
A quarterly, peer-reviewed scholarly journal on the scientific and policy
aspects of continuing education in the health field. The Journal
regularly includes articles by members of the Alliance.
Continuing Education in Health Care -- An Educational Video
Series An educational series consisting of seven video modules and a
loose-leaf workbook. The modules are designed to help members understand or
educate others about the body of knowledge relevant to CME.
Professional Self-Assessment Program (PSAP) Members
may participate in a Professional Self-Assessment exercise designed to assess
individual strengths and weaknesses and identify educational meeds in a wide
range of competencies grouped into six areas of responsibility, such as
management and strat egic leadership. The PSAP is updated regularly to reflect
changes in the environment.
The Research and
Development Resource Base (RDRB) in CME A regularly updated
database of approximately 4,000 articles on CME, available to members at a
reduced charge. It is valuable for developing research proposals, evaluating
change, and planning new continuing education interventions and activities.
Family Medicine Review Glaxo

Online peer Review Trial: an experiment in electronic medical publishing
ahead of print. This project will make key Australian medical research
available faster than traditional publication and looks to improving the quality
of the final published article.

A meeting place to promote understanding amongst various groups involved in
healthcare delivery. It is also a learning resource on managed care, health
care economics, and health care reform.
